Gene Munster, an analyst at Piper Jaffray released a research note a few days ago, about the upcoming product launches for Apple. The research includes predictions that the upcoming budget “iPhone 5C”‘ will not come with Siri installed, which would apparently be a move to differentiate the new iPhone 5S from the lower class 5C. However, the online consensus seems to have a different opinion so far, almost unanimously disagreeing with this prediction, commenting that Siri is not very likely to be taken away from any new iOS product in the near future.
Munster also seems to predict that there will definitely be some type of fingerprint scanner incorporated in or around the home button, which would be used for unlocking purposes only. Other than these specs, the rest seems expected to be Apples typical upgrades of processor speed and battery life, more memory and a new custom A7 chip. The analyst also predicts a mid 2014 of the highly rumored large screen iPhone 6, along with the iWatch.
Since these are still mostly just predictions or opinions, we will all just have to wait and see what actually happens when Apple releases the new iPhone 5S on September 10. It is still unsure as to whether apple will also release the iPhone 5C at that time.
